Images of attaching the carb to the blower

Attaching the throttle and chocke cables to the carburettor after it has been mounted is a supreme test of ones dexterity. I found it much easier to attach the cables to the carburettor, and then attach the carburettor.

The lower, inside nut holding the carb to the blower is extremely difficult to get to. At one point in my adventures I found myself needing to remove the jet from the carb and was not able to remove the carb from the blower with the unit mounted in the car. Using a socket on a universal joint makes it possible to attach the the whole assembly as a single unit, and it might actually be easier to assemble the unit outside the car and then bolt the whole unit to the car.
