When I was in high school I spent a lot of time at
Boomeria.
The home of Preston Boomer, a science teacher at San Lorenzo Valley
High School where he let the students come up and build a castle, tunnels,
towers, guillotine and such like. The most impressive thing up there
is his 2500 pipe, tracker action, organ.
My Operating system of choice isLinux.
While I believe that people should choose their OS based on what works
best for them, I like the stability, ease of use and power of Linux.
Slashdot is one of my favorite web sites. It has pointers to stories of interest to geeks and nerds.
There is a very active geek community in Santa Cruz, which centers around geek housesa like The Armory and Darkwater.
