This green GT mountain bike was left in a friend's basement by an
ex-housemate. I didn't charge them to haul it away.

I traded a used road bike for this mountain bike. Unfortunately it
never "fit" me very well. Note the high rise bars, they make it more
comfortable to ride. I mounted it on rollers on the theory of using it
for a stationary exercise bike. I'm using the front rim on the GT for
the road wheels.

I call this bike the Heavy Cruiser. I bought it in Singapore. It was
made in China and is a Venus. Note the rod and lever action brakes. It
weighs 47 pounds. Unfortunately, I was never able to buy a sidecar for
it.

When the cheap folding mountain bike I bought in Singapore broke, I
bought this GT Arrowhead from a kid in a bike shop. I've got pictures
of this bike all over the place: Singapore, Malaysia, Canada ...
I've got it kitted with two sets of wheels, one with dirt tires and
one with road tires. The wheels with the dirt tires are the ones that
came with it.

I bought the Trek used because I could never quite get the Legnano
sorted out. It had all the features I needed and wanted, but just
doesn't feel as good as the Legnano. In July 2005 I put the mustache
handlebars on it to make it more comfortable to ride.

Vita is a Legnano. An Italian brand that they stopped making in the
mid sixties, but which seems to have been brought back. I rode the
Davis Double Century on this bike in 1981. I put the TA triple
crankset on it in the fall of 1980. Unfortunately I didn't get it in
time for the Fall Century (actually a metric double), which I rode,
without training, and without a front deraulier. I was never able to
find a Legnano seat post clamp, so I schlock engineered one.
