Years ago I used to instigate a monthly "beer and benchracing" social get together in the Santa Cruz mountains. I called it SCARE, Santa Cruz Area Race Enthusiasts. The tagline was "No dues, No don'ts just beer and benchracing".
For the purposes of this group, "Santa Cruz Area" is anyone close enough to to join us, whether you're riding from Felton or Fresno. Race Enthusiast is defined as anyone who would want to meet a bunch of racers for dinner, beer and/or socializing. I don't care if your preference is two wheels, four wheels, hulls or wings, asphalt, dirt, water, air, or dinner with friends.
The September meeting will be at Mama Mia's in Felton. Mama Mia's is very easy to find, it is at the corner of Mt Hermon Rd and Graham Hill (yes, like the formula one driver).
To get there from hwy 17
Take the Mt Hermon Road Exit.
Follow it until it ends (a few miles)
100 yards before it tees into Graham Hill, turn left into the parking
lot.
Drive past Round Table, Safeway and Rite-Aid and it is at the other
end of the building.
For now, we are meeting at Mama Mia's in Felton. If that
